A joke about animated bloopers turns into a candid look at the heaviest kind of regret: the words we can’t un-say and the moments we never got to finish. We open the door to real stories—faith left unspoken with a father gone too soon, the sting of weaponized words in marriage, and the strange way silence can feel safer than truth until it breaks everything anyway. It’s raw, a little chaotic, and full of the awkward honesty that actually helps.

We get practical fast. How do you speak up before resentment stacks? Start smaller and sooner. Trade “you always” for “I feel.” Ask for a timeout when emotions spike, then actually take it—drive, breathe, come back on purpose. We talk about repairing without defensiveness, apologizing without excuses, and making tiny agreements that save big fights: pick calmer moments for hard feedback, welcome messy words, and decide together which lines you won’t cross even when you’re mad. The goal isn’t to erase the past; it’s to keep it from writing the next page.

Between laughs about bowling aches, teen slang, and a side quest for rare VHS tapes, we circle back to what matters: learning from regret without living in it. Faith shows up not as a lecture but as courage to reopen a hard conversation, to believe forgiveness is bigger than your worst day, and to make the next call you’ve been avoiding. If you’ve ever wished for a do-over or felt the burn of an unmade choice, this one meets you where you are and hands you a few tools to carry forward.

If this resonated, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs it, and leave a quick review. Tell us one regret you’ve turned into wisdom—your story might be the lifeline someone else needs.

So way to go.

SPEAKER_02

Remember when um like Disney started doing animated bloopers?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So like some of their movies they would they would animate some bloopers so it would look like you know they oh it was yeah, it was fun. I I think like a bug's wife was the the first one I've seen. I do remember that.

SPEAKER_01

I remember Monsters Incats. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It's like some fun, it's like this they're animated. Why is this what they're doing? But yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Mag Wazowski.

SPEAKER_02

I do miss.

SPEAKER_03

I think wasn't there one of the goofy movies that did it?

SPEAKER_02

Probably. I still think that that is one of the best animated movies ever, the first goofy movie.

SPEAKER_01

I disagree. Yeah, yeah. It was okay. I mean, it was just like, I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

I'll type it up. I mean, Richard, you're fired.

SPEAKER_02

Just why are you so angry?

SPEAKER_01

Somebody said that to me today. Like I was negative all day. I was not. All right. I don't think. It sounds like you're being negative right now.

SPEAKER_02

Like what? I'm not negative now. That's like one of those where Jamie, what's wrong? Nothing. Yes, there is.

SPEAKER_03

Well, now there is. You done made me mad.

Banter, Intros, And Voices For Radio

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Yeah. What's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, everybody. Welcome to a brand new episode.

SPEAKER_03

I about got bored and left.

SPEAKER_01

That sounded like Wheel of Fortune. Roulette or something. No, okay.

SPEAKER_02

To a brand new episode of the Almost Brothers podcast. On today's episode.

SPEAKER_03

Maybe.

SPEAKER_02

As always.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. You got introduced. Why are you butthurt now? Whatever. Whatever.

SPEAKER_02

Do it. Richard Paul Randall. Whoa.

SPEAKER_01

What? I had somebody at my new job tell me that I had a voice for a podcast. Did you tell? Funny you say that. No, we were talking about this podcast, and she's like, You got a voice for a podcast. I was like, Oh. Alright.

SPEAKER_02

It's like, thank you. Thank you. Appreciate that. I was wanting to Walmart. I had a voice for radio. There you go.

SPEAKER_01

I was told I had a face for radio. That's messed up.

SPEAKER_03

That's messed up. Face for radio and a voice for silent film.

From Jokes To Regret

SPEAKER_02

That hurts. I know I did want to say one thing, okay? The way that we started the episode last week, if you haven't heard it already, pause here. Go back and listen to it. And then come back. I don't even remember how. I was not ready for that. Where I was like, do y'all call your dad any other, like, do you call him pops or anything? And then Richard's like, just with no hesitation. Like, my dad's dead.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It just, it I was speechless.

SPEAKER_01

It came up Wednesday night.

Words You Wish You Could Un-Say

SPEAKER_02

I was, yes, I was speechless, dude. So I got you over here laughing after you said it, and then I got Tyler with this. He's like, oh. So I'm like, I couldn't look anywhere. So I'm just like, oh god, no. Oh, it was uh don't know where to put my emotions. Oh, that was uh that was brutal. Yeah. But it's not what we're talking about this episode. I guess not. Oh, kind of. Actually, it is. Uh, we're talking about regrets. I regret bringing that up last week. I regret my dad being dead. Right. No. I don't I don't like it. It feels weird. Uh but yeah, just talking about like just regrets. I and you know, you have some people that's like, I don't regret it things, it's made me the person I am today. Nonsense. Right. And it's like I get what they're trying to get at, but why is it so hard to say goodbye to yesterday? To say goodbye. Why is it so hard to get over the things that kind of you regret and you wish you could do differently?

SPEAKER_03

Because you can't. Yeah. Yeah. There's no chance. You know what you would do and you just can't. Right.

SPEAKER_02

You ever you ever said something like to your wife? So we're all three married here. You ever said something to and as soon as you as soon as you're done saying it, you're like, I wish I could take that back.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah. You just like physically want to grab them out of the air and be like, I didn't say that.

SPEAKER_02

I am I feel bad that I just said that. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I think everyone's been there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I'm not going to point out anything specific because she listens and she might remember.

SPEAKER_02

I bring it all back up again. You know what? He didn't say that. Yeah, and it it's really been because I'm I'm trying to, at the beginning of this year, trying to really focus in on things I need to fix and I need to work on and try to get better at. So it's really been bringing up some stuff like, man, I wish I I wish I could have said that differently, or talked to this person before I I did that. And it's it's kind of been something that's kind of been on my heart lately anyway, just kind of regretting some some things or even just some relationships that you get into, and then a afterwards you're like, Yeah, I I wish I wouldn't have had to go through that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I've had some of them. See. Well, and really and truly, all joking aside, my dad is one of my biggest regrets because I I got the chance one time to pray for him with him at an altar. Yeah. And he he came to my ordination. So I I got a chance to pray with him there, but his response to God was that he had done too much to be forgiven. You know, he's in Vietnam and and dealt with all that, but I never brought it up again. Yeah. You know, I just never had the strength or the courage to to bring it up again. And and he passed away suddenly, so I never got the opportunity to know where he's spending eternity. Yeah. You know, I don't know what his last moments were like. So that's a that's a big regret for me.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and it it does, man. It makes it so hard because you you can't answer that's a that's an unanswered question. Right. You know, and it's it's like, man, I if I could have done things a little bit differently, I I would have. Yeah. You know, I and I think I think of course those people that say I don't regret anything, you would still make those major decisions the same, because it does shape who you are, but you maybe do it a little bit differently.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You know, the you know, just being a dad and the times I regret, and being a husband, the times I regret, and and it's just like, man, I wish I could redo I know I can't redo it, and and we don't want to just live in the past, but man, there's some things that I wish I could I could go back and just do a little differently and say a little differently and feel a little differently and and just kind of try to give a little bit more grace in some areas, but also try to stand my ground in others, you know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, well, and it's you know, I always say that I wish I could have gotten saved sooner, but then that cuts into my testimony, you know. It's it's kind of one of those things I live through this in order to be used to do this. So it's it is it it's a it's a it's quite the conundrum.

SPEAKER_02

So let's really bring that. What's some what's something that you have said to your wife? We're gonna dig into it that you wish you could take back. Oh gosh.

SPEAKER_01

I I I I abstain. Please the fifth.

Faith, Family, And A Father Unanswered

SPEAKER_02

Man, what a couple, like please, come on, Jamie will cut you. What do you I ain't worried about her? Where's she at? Yes, you are. Yes, you are. She just came around the corner. I'd think this podcast would be over.

SPEAKER_03

All right, thanks for joining us. Oh my god, next week.

SPEAKER_02

But I and I'm not gonna like really dig into it, but I remember there was a conversation. I got home and I was I was pretty upset, and it this was years ago. And as soon as I as soon as I said, as soon as I got done with the conversation, I was like, I wish I could take that last part back. Cause that that it was almost like I'm gonna say this knowing this is gonna hurt her.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Just because I'm upset, and I want her to be upset like I am.

SPEAKER_01

It was ammo, not communication.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and it just was not good, and and instantly I went into I'm sorry I said that, you know, but it it was and you can't unring that bell.

SPEAKER_01

It's it's out there, it's safe.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I think I think that's where a lot of that comes from, too, is you're in a place of feeling some way, and you and it doesn't seem like they understand completely. So you have to make sure that they understand. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Have you ever not said something and regretted not saying anything?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I think that's my biggest ones too. It's like, man, I wish I would have said something here.

SPEAKER_01

Well, that's that's the that's the root of mine and Jennifer's problems in the past. You know, I've talked about on here that that we uh separated for a little while. And the reason being is well, one of the reasons is I have never been the type of person to really take center stage on complaining about stuff, you know, things that bother me, I just let them build up versus just really saying, Hey, this affected me this way. Yeah. And that was one of the one of the things that I had to work on personally in order to build our relationship stronger was to allow her the opportunity to fix those things.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And even being able to say it in the moment, not let it build up. That's that's a huge thing. Is when it when it bothers you, say something.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_03

We've been me and Liv have been pretty good about that, and especially bringing it up not in conversations where we're already heated about something, but just like I'll do or she'll do it just randomly. It could be just getting ready for bed. And be like, Can I tell you something that you do that really bothers me?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. And it's like, okay, here I I and I like those conversations. Sometimes it kind of gets You still feel bad.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it's sometimes it kind of gets it's better than you know just a full-blown heated argument.

SPEAKER_02

Man, so I've had I've had times where I got so upset that I just like left and just had to ride around. And just because I'm like, if I say something, I'm gonna regret every word that I say right now. So I need to I think I told Tyler this story. There was one time me and Jamie were were arguing, and I just got in my car. I was like, I just need to, I need to go before I say something I'm gonna regret. Right. So I literally just drove from Alden to Popper Bluff to Dexter and back to my just a circle. Listening to music, listening to podcasts, just to take my mind off of it before I said, and by the time I got home, I did. I felt I was still upset, but I was less upset than I was, you know, so um didn't didn't put my foot in my mouth on that one.

Learning From Regret Without Living There

SPEAKER_01

Well, my problem is it because I'm so forgetful in in a high emotional state, I'm forgetful anyway, but when I'm in high emotion, I get very forgetful. Yeah. So I'm like about halfway through, I forget what we've started about.

SPEAKER_02

I'm so sick of this. What are you sick of? I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

I'm mad, and I don't know why. Now I'm mad because I don't know why I'm mad.

SPEAKER_03

I will I'm sick of these freaking dishes. Why are they clean?

SPEAKER_01

Man. Have you found that since the babies came, y'all kind of get short with each other more or no? Have y'all handled it well?

SPEAKER_03

We have this is what I I love about don't say something you're gonna regret now. No, this is what I'm out there forever. This is what I love about our marriage. Um because we we really did start uh our relationship proactive about communicating. Yeah. So I I mean there there's been times where we're both kind of not short-tempered, but we're already kind of heated because we're like stressed, overstimulated, things going on. And like, you know, I'd say something that might be a little snarky or whatever, and then you know, we kind of just like we just like just stop. No.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not not not dealing with it right now. Yeah. She ever keep picking at you even though you're like, uh no, no, what do you want? No, no, what do you have to no say it?

SPEAKER_03

Say it. No, that's me. Ah That's me because I hate letting things uh especially between me and her, uh, fester and sit. That's one thing to need to take a break when you're arguing and and it really is just gonna go nowhere and just lead to a huge bigger problem. Um but when it's like like like I need to know. Like, tell me what it is. You don't have to have the the right words, just tell me what is bothering you so we can figure this out. Let me be offended first and then we can figure this out.

SPEAKER_02

Have you ever had you ever had the if I if I say something, don't get mad, you had to make that promise? I promise I won't get mad.

SPEAKER_01

Then they say that's a lie.

SPEAKER_03

Liv does that. Not not not often, but when there's one thing that she knows that will irk me, she'll like, she's like, I need to tell you something, but I don't want you to get mad. And normally I'm like, we'll see how this goes. Like, oh man. I want to say most of the time. I'm like, Liv, why?

Fighting Fair: Timing And Tone

SPEAKER_02

That is hilarious. Yeah, it's like, I don't want to make this promise because I'm probably gonna get mad, but here we go. Let's see what you got. You know, one thing I regret? I regret going bowling this weekend with the young adults.

SPEAKER_01

Did you hurt yourself?

SPEAKER_02

Not yes, not that we went, it was a blast. Man, it was so fun. But why didn't I just sit there and let them do the bowling and just talk and hang out?

SPEAKER_01

That's what Jamie said. She said she went bowling and painted her office this weekend and went to the gym Thursday. So she said she was hurting everywhere.

SPEAKER_02

Like, I didn't know. Okay, okay. So I woke up and I had soreness in my butt cheek. Okay. So I don't know if I like where this is. So like so, like, we must bowl differently. Like, like kind of, kind of my almost like your thigh, but up into your butt cheek, okay? And and I woke up and I'm like, did Jamie judo kick me in the middle of the night in my butt cheek? And so I got up and I this is no lie. I'm in our front room. I'm in our front room doing the bowling motions.

SPEAKER_03

Trying to figure out where you went wrong.

SPEAKER_02

I swear. I swear. Yes, I'm like, I'm like, do I'm I'm doing the motions and like go and like so doing the legging.

SPEAKER_03

He's slouching a lot. Yeah, and he's doing and he's and he's doing it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't know where you're getting the uh glutes there. Okay, look, it doesn't look like bowling. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

It doesn't look like bowling. He looks like he's he's he's uh playing a very weird form of softball.

SPEAKER_02

Come on, man. So he won the first game. So yeah, right. Okay, it takes you know, I had to give all I got. But you gotta hurt with when you do a pen penalty throw or something. So as I'm as I'm doing that, I could feel that muscle being activated. So I'm like, babe, it's from bowling. He's like, what? And I'm like, come here, come here.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my gosh. On an episode sports science.

SPEAKER_02

I'm like, come here. I'm like, all right, here, watch, watch. When I do it, you feel see, you feel you feel the muscle being activated, see? Yeah, so that you know, that's the insight to our house. So I'm I'm sitting here in the middle of the day.

SPEAKER_01

And this is why Jamie wants to kill him most days.

SPEAKER_03

The question is, I don't know where the regret is because I think it's all of it.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Jamie regrets that conversation.

SPEAKER_02

So I regret telling her. I regret showing her. I now regret saying it on the podcast and just all around regret. It was fun, but man, I should have just let I should have, I should have sat there, okay, and just enjoyed the night and not bold two games, but it was it was a blast. Cool, cool. Yeah, only two games. Yeah. Yeah, only two. What now I'm being shamed.

SPEAKER_01

Is there a standard amount of amount of games you're supposed to do when you go?

SPEAKER_03

No, I just mean like you got hurt and it was only two games. I I don't he's got a pull. Now you're on his side. I didn't think of that. That's crazy. I think and this is this is this is just me. I think I think there's a reason why I'm not gonna say it.

SPEAKER_01

He's gonna regret saying it if he does, so he just stopped himself.

SPEAKER_03

I don't think I will, but I think it's gonna be funny. I'm afraid it might hurt his feelings. He doesn't have feelings, he's a cyborg. I was gonna say, I feel like that might be the reason you're not a youth pastor anymore.

SPEAKER_01

Time to retire.

SPEAKER_03

That's that's why he's his title's now being changed to senior pastor.

SPEAKER_01

That's right, because you're a senior.

SPEAKER_03

You gotta get get up early for uh that uh cream of wheat early morning bingo. The funniest part about this is Richard is 10 years older than you. He's making fun of me.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, I'm not 10 years old. I am crap. I am 10 years older than you.

SPEAKER_03

You're 20 years older than me. Oh man, listen, I get it. I get it.

SPEAKER_01

Now we're both mad.

SPEAKER_03

I I'm at I'm at a point where like like these like teenagers are legit calling me old.

SPEAKER_01

Uh-huh. Yeah. Yeah. Welcome to our world.

SPEAKER_03

I'm not even 30.

SPEAKER_02

If you are a person you have been personally victimized by bullying, let us know. Here at the Almos Brothers podcast. You don't have to, you don't have to deal with that. Okay? Yes you do.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, you do.

unknown

Man.

SPEAKER_02

Y'all coming at me mad whore.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Easy. It's how we roll. Watch your profanity.

Taking Space Before Saying Too Much

SPEAKER_02

Oh man. But yeah. Yeah. But I know the film. Like, are you are you do they come up to you like your unk status? I I love that. When they put new words on it. And it's like. I haven't heard that yet. Yeah. No. Yep. I've gotten that. Your unk status.

SPEAKER_03

Like, I think someone someone's calling me a fresh dad, which I am. Like you true. Actually. You a fresh dad. Times two. Times two. At once. Yeah, gum. Holy cow.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Sometimes it's still, it's like like sometimes I'm just in the thick of it. And like I know I got two.

SPEAKER_01

Into the thick of it. Oh my gosh. Into the thick of it. That's enough of that.

SPEAKER_03

Oh. Anyways. Um, but yeah, sometimes I'm really in the thick of it, and I'm like, yeah, I've no, I've got twins, and there's some moments where I'm like, holy crap, I'm in charge of two human babies.

SPEAKER_02

Two actual they're looking at me right now.

SPEAKER_01

Like, oh my gosh. One of them scowling.

SPEAKER_02

Yep. Oh, wait till wait till they're so busy that you're yelling for them, and your wife has to tell you, nope, she's with Abby and Britney.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I've done that.

SPEAKER_02

I'm like, Zay, come here.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Why did I know she can hear me? And Jaren's like, she's not home. Like, um, we were sorry, her busy schedule's going on.

SPEAKER_01

We had just Blaze and Luke last night because everybody went somewhere. Yeah. And I got ready for dinner, and you know, normally we've got we got to drop a hundred dollar bill on supper, and I was like, We only have blaze and luke. Man. We can have a good meal tonight. Right.

SPEAKER_02

Like, don't tell the other kids. You ever had to do that? Like, hide stuff from you. Like, I I I I went uh studying for for the sermon this morning. I was at Starbucks, and I was just in there working, and I text Jamie, I was like, hey, do you need anything? You know, I'm at Starbucks, I'll be going to Walmart. And she's like, I'm telling Zay. I'm like, you better not. You better. I have to throw them away, like throw the stuff away before I get home so the kids don't find out. They find out I ate Chick-fil-A. Oh man, I'll never hear the end of it.

SPEAKER_03

Do you go to Starby's? Venti? Extra shot. Yeah, she would too. And then and then and then Zeke walked by, spin the basketball. Oh, you're cooked. You're cooked, bro.

SPEAKER_02

You're dead, old man. That's what. Dude. Really?

SPEAKER_03

You're straight up macaroni, bro.

SPEAKER_02

Yep. Well, let's uh let's let's uh transition into uh that's what's up. What's up? What's up? Huh? What?

SPEAKER_01

Um I hated that when it was a thing.

SPEAKER_02

Chilling. Killing. Watching, watching the game.

SPEAKER_03

So what's something that y'all been that's it, bro?

SPEAKER_01

What's something y'all been uh I regret being on this podcast? I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_02

What listening to, watching. Well, let me start. Oh, all right. He's been waiting on this his whole life. Go ahead.

SPEAKER_01

Not the whole one, but just part of it. Okay. Uh American Idol's back. Okay. I know you don't care. Nope. But I just wanted you to know that.

SPEAKER_03

And Harper's gonna win it.

SPEAKER_01

I'm I'm not, I don't know their names yet. It's gotta get down to String Cheese Girl. Oh, yeah, she's amazing.

SPEAKER_03

She's from she's from Mountain View.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Willow Springs, but yeah.

SPEAKER_03

It's close enough.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. So American Idol's back. Mike doesn't care, but wait till he starts talking about his switch crap and I ignore him. But anyway, my last book of the Cyber Dream series, I'm in the middle of it. I've got about five hours left. It was a 20-hour book. Whoa. Yeah. But it is dang.

SPEAKER_02

That good.

Twins, Stress, And Staying Calm

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. They, you know, throughout the whole book series, she's been encountering all these different people. And it's like some Avengers Assemble stuff in this last book. Like all the people from all the whole series are coming together to help her, and it's good stuff, man. Nice. Yeah. But that's all I got. Nice.

SPEAKER_02

Ta-ta.

SPEAKER_03

Uh I got put on this guy. I think I sent I think I sent you one of his songs. Uh Steven Stanley. Yeah. The Christian rock music. Real good stuff. It's like um. Did you listen to the song? A little bit. I'm trying to think of it. He sent it on like Facebook Messenger, I think. Yeah. I'm trying to think of like kind of who he sounds like, you know, in the secular world. I don't know. He oh I don't know. I really don't know. He's he's got kind of got his own. That's a lot of grunts.

SPEAKER_01

He don't know. It's good though. It's good though.

SPEAKER_03

Steve Tyler Speed. Steven Stanley. Good stuff. No. Listen to anything else.

SPEAKER_02

Um what's your favorite thing to listen on? Do you listen on like uh Apple Music Spotify? Spotify.

SPEAKER_03

I've had Spotify since I was I think 15. Yeah. Or 16. Nice. And that's m more than 10 years ago. Let that sink in.

SPEAKER_01

I like Apple Music, but Garth Brooks is not on there, so I don't care for it at all.

SPEAKER_03

I think they have a thing against Garth Brooks right now.

SPEAKER_01

Who? Apple Music? I don't know what they got. Don't care. I want to hear Garth Brooks.

SPEAKER_03

And there's some like controversy stuff going on with that. I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

No, it's kind of a kind of a crazy thing. There's like little docuseries type things that like claim that he's like a serial killer. Oh my gosh. It's pretty crazy.

SPEAKER_03

I thought I thought it was something like people on uh like women are making like accusations of like sexual. Oh, I don't know, yeah. Oh, maybe. Yeah, I don't know. I could have sworn I heard something. It could have been someone else. That gun could be freaking any one these days. That's true.

SPEAKER_02

Um man, there's a lot. There's a lot.

SPEAKER_03

Oh uh tune in next week to find out. No, I'm just gonna I was gonna say uh live Liv's been watching, I've been I guess watching as she's watching it. The show Extracted. Oh, yes, yeah. Is that is that that one? Yeah, you were yeah, yeah. That show makes me mad. Wow. Let me tell you why.

SPEAKER_01

That do so no spoilers though.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, no, I'm not gonna because I I really don't know exactly like I don't even know who's on there.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know a spoiler.

SPEAKER_03

I just I just watch. Like I I couldn't spoil it if I wanted to. This person got extracted. That's it. That's really awesome. That's all I can say. Um no, like different parts of the show, and they're like getting mad because they're like this family's trying to help their person out and not help us out. And that's that's what I'm saying. I'm like, why are they getting so mad? They're not there to make friends, win the daggum game.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and it's like and I get when people purposely try to undercut someone, but if you're just trying like playing the game, yeah, like there's only one winner, y'all.

Promises Not To Get Mad

SPEAKER_03

Like I get I get uh at certain points, you know, during the thing, you've got to, you know, make alliances. Yeah, no, I get that, yeah. But you're also trying to win.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. It's like, which I is that the one where like the family, they've got a family member out there, and then the family's back at headquarters.

SPEAKER_03

It's like a base camp thing, and they're yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so yeah, it's like, you know, you get to go and you go in order, and I can't remember how they picked the orders, but say you you go first and you can go in a room where they have all the supplies, and you need to get your person supplies. Well, you go and you get your person, you're not trying to mess with anybody else's game. You're trying to get your and then they complain, well, you took all the this or that. It's like, I know crap. I'm getting what my person needs. I'm not purposely trying to mess with your game, but I'm I'm trying to get my family member what they need. You know, it's like that's part of the game here.

SPEAKER_01

Like, I don't know and it there but this season, because that's the second season, yeah. But this season it's a it's a lot of that.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it's it's a lot of oh, you're you're not helping my personality. No, well, no crap. I'm trying to win. I want you to lose.

SPEAKER_01

Uh it's to the like there's one per and I don't want to get off on a tangent on this, but there's one particular alliance that the guys on the alliance aren't even backing the alliance that they're in.

SPEAKER_02

I'm like that's messed up. All right. So you do it. That's what's up.

SPEAKER_03

I'll get you, I'll get you on the next one. Yeah, get you on the flip side.

Bowling, Aging, And Playful Roast

SPEAKER_02

That's what's up. It's a cool show, though. I have been back on my hunt for VHS. Yeah. So I picked up a couple this week. Um, some good ones, man. And they were like a buck. Um but I've been doing that. I started Ah, you're on the hunt. A buck. See what I did there? Wow. I don't um but I've been hanging some stuff up upstairs in the lounge and just kind of getting some things put together while I'm gonna do it.

SPEAKER_01

I always think about VHS tapes when I see them. Uh, because we go to a lot of flea markets and stuff, but I never know what you have or don't have.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and it's it's hard for me to remember. So we started going through them because I've got some some clear slip covers to keep them in good condition. And I we started going through them, and Zeke was helping me. And I've got four copies of Jurassic Park.

SPEAKER_03

The the same movie.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, the original Jurassic Park on VHS.

SPEAKER_01

Well, if you have to own multiples, it's a good one.

SPEAKER_02

That's a good one to have, right? Yep. Yeah, I grabbed a couple of those and and I'm working on kind of getting them displayed and getting them in order and nice and neat.

SPEAKER_03

So I've seen like uh like the original Beauty and the Beast VHS and like the special like the case that comes in all that. It's like hundreds of dollars.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah. Some like this, and I'm gonna start kind of pricing them out, and I'm gonna I'm gonna start reselling some of some of the stuff. But oh yeah, you've got some stuff with special edition cases, and if you have just the inserts on the inside, then they go up in price, and it's pretty crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Some of them are misprints, especially with Disney. A lot of those are like that, you know, if they're misprinted or whatever.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and then I found uh a um a copy of a video game that they had a misprint on the back, and just the lettering that is messed up, it's like raised up from the rest of the words, it's worth like$150 more just because it's that that version of it. It's pretty gnarly, man. It's crazy some of this stuff and how much it's it's worth if you take care of the stuff. But so I've been I've been focused on that, which I'm gonna start watching a lot more of them. Yeah, something about those VHSs, man. VHSs. Yeah, yep. Bought a couple um oh my gosh, what are they called? Laser discs. Got a couple of those.

SPEAKER_01

Never had a laser disc.

SPEAKER_02

Look like a vinyl. So I got Lion King and uh Terminator on great movies. Great movie. It's good stuff, man. Good stuff. Nostalgia. You know? That was the last episode. Yeah, man. Yeah. What else y'all got on your heart? Mine slash slash starving. So I am too, man. I am too.

SPEAKER_03

Y'all need like a McDonald's or something. We had a bomb.

SPEAKER_02

It would be great. It would be great.

SPEAKER_01

Sonic clothes.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. You know what I'm in the mood for?

SPEAKER_01

Uh no.

SPEAKER_02

Hot pockets. Chinese.

SPEAKER_01

He just hit you right in the heart with that one.

SPEAKER_03

Uh let's see. It's eight o'clock.
